The Reaper Rig will bring your dead bait such as Pilchards and Slimy Mackerel back to life. The unique design creates a hyper realistic swimming motion that is highly consistent. It’s most effective operating range is 3-5 knots (6-10 km/h) which makes it ideal for trolling behind kayaks, jet skis and boats. Faster speeds are possible but the longevity of the bait can be compromised as a result.
The Lure Us In team has spent two years developing and testing the Reaper Rig and have used it to catch fish trolling with all three types of water craft.
What makes the Reaper Rig the best dead bait lure on the market? For one, the swimming motion is better and more consistent than rival lures. That makes it incredibly effective at attracting and catching fish. But that’s not its only advantage. It is also incredibly easy to use and fast to re-bait. A Grim Reaper-inspired scythe makes it simple to securely fit the dead bait to the rig. That means less time re-baiting and more time fishing when you’re out on the water. And the bait will also sit correctly in the rig and won’t spin in the water.
It is also stronger than rival lures thanks to the laser cut stainless steel scythe and through rod. And the body of the rig is made out of aluminium, making it more durable and environmentally friendly than inferior products made out of plastic.
Variations of the Reaper Rig to hold bigger bait fish, such as Garfish, Tailor and Bonito, as well as new colours, are currently in the works.

These rigs are great. The bait swims well and they convert to Spanish Slabs easily. Great company to deal with.
The Reaper Rig is definitely the best trolling lure for dead baits that is on the market. The mechanism is perfect for holding pilchards, "yakkas", and "slimies" firmly and allowing them to "swim". I've caught Spotted Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Longtail Tuna with them, and friends have caught Mahi Mahi when using them to troll around the local FADs.

This is the bait rig I've wanted for years. Absolutely easy to use, fits all types of bait fish, and great results. Second time I took it out on the water it caught me a decent Dorado, cannot recommend enough.
The Reaper rig is so easy to use and has amazing action.
Works great. Keeps your bait swimming true, I was using garfish. Wasn’t fortunate to get a hook up but did get strikes finding half the bait gone. Can be cast pretty well as long as your bait can hold up to the cast and impact on the water.
